# Claims-Denial Practice Case

This is a fictional, synthetic learning case for Lumyn FDE School. Aster Health,
NorthLake, Summit Health, the people, claims, dates, systems, and metrics below do
not represent a real customer or patient. The case contains no PHI. Treat every
passage as evidence with the stated scope and limitation; do not invent missing
facts.

Use this pack when you cannot use live field evidence or a sanitized retrospective.
It supports a synthetic-practice branch through all ten missions and the field
capstone. Practice evidence can demonstrate reasoning, not customer approval,
production readiness, operating ownership, stakeholder skill, or field observation.

## Case brief

Aster Health has funded a twelve-week pilot to reduce the time required to correct
inpatient medical-necessity denials. The sold brief describes automatic corrected-
claim resubmission for NorthLake and Summit Health. Discovery begins after signing.
The delivery team must decide in ten business days whether a safe bounded kickoff
is possible.
